Kevin Nkem Nwankwor | Advisory Board Member

Kevin Nkem Nwankwor is a entertainment and filmmaker with a global perspective and a passion for independent work. Born in Issele-Uku, Nigeria, Nwankwor has persistently pursue a career in filmmaking from a young age, first as a writer plays for the children and adult ministries of his local church, and later, as a classically trained filmmaker.

Nwankwor graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Federal University of Technology in 2000. While his formal education was in Project Management, his passion for film still burned brightly. Throughout college, Nwankwor starred in two “Nollywood” movies “Enemies” (1997) and “Heartless” (1997) with veteran actors Kanayo O. Kanayo, Saint Obi, and Eucharia Anunobi. He also created and produced a live comedy show, “Comedy Half Hour,” which was hosted on NTA Channel 5 Abuja.

Nwankwor relocated to Atlanta in 2008 to pursue his MBA degree; two years later after completing his business degree, he earned an MFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. Today, Nwankwor has successfully produced a number of films that showcase his faith and move the soul. He wrote, produced, and directed shorts films “Enemy Within” (2012) and “A Mother’s Love” (2012), which is based on real events and was an official selection at the Gwinnett Film Festival (July 2013) and Spain’s Marbella Film Festival (October 2013). He is currently working on the motion picture feature “Tempting Fate.”

In addition to his work in film, Nwankwor is CEO of a faith-based entertainment company, KevStel Group LLC. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Unoma and their two children.
